Activities at the Hotel

Bespoke walking and running routes
Is the freedom to incorporate nature into your daily exercise high on your list of priorities? Then join us on a walking/running route and explore the hotel’s nature surroundings. We’ve created three different digital running routes and added them to the RunGo app, which uses turn-by-turn navigation to show you which route to run, the remaining distance and which roads or paths you should take. Just like a car’s GPS system.

The shorter three-kilometre route is also recommended as a walk-and-talk route for a healthy break during a meeting or seminar. RunGo is free and available for iOS and Android – for both smartphone and Apple Watch.

Various outdoor games
If you feel like challenging your family, colleagues or friends to fun games, just contact the reception. We have both King's Game, volleyball, frisbees and football including goals.

Various board games
Board games are more popular than ever, and everyone can join in. We have a selection of different board games that you are welcome to borrow. Just contact the reception.

Paddleboarding
More and more Danes have fallen in love with paddleboarding. And we can understand why. Try for yourself how fun and lovely it is to see the coast from the water. Price: 300 DKK per person for 2 hours including a life vest.

The Forest Tower
The 45-metre-high Forest Tower is situated in one of Gisselfeld Abbey’s forests and offers a 360-degree view of the beautiful South Zealand landscape. The tower is built from corten steel and local oak. The Forest Tower is part of Camp Adventure, a unique and fun nature experience for all ages with an opportunity to rappel in trees.

Roskilde Cathedral and the royal tombs
Roskilde Cathedral is considered one of the most important church buildings in Denmark and one of the most important monuments in general, due to its unique architecture and its connection to Danish history. The cathedral was built during the 12th and 13th centuries as the first brick-built, Gothic-style cathedral in Scandinavia, but today it reflects 800 years of changing architectural styles. The cathedral has been the royal family's burial church for centuries and contains 38-40 royal tombs: 19-21 kings and 19 queens. Alongside frescoes and art, they tell the story of the kings and queens, the Danish church and Denmark over a thousand years. The cathedral was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1995.

The Viking Ship Museum
The Viking Ship Museum is Denmark’s national museum for ships, seafaring and boatbuilding culture from the Viking Age through to the Middle Ages. Through exhibitions, research and experimental archaeology, the museum seeks to create a living and modern museum that makes our maritime history interesting and relevant to visitors today.

Take part in a captivating journey through the history and development of music and youth from the 1950s onwards – a journey that engages, activates and makes you sweat.

Tivoli Gardens is an amusement park located in the centre of Copenhagen close to Central Station and Strøget. The park is the world's second oldest of its kind, surpassed only by Bakken. Enjoy a walk in the beautiful garden with historic buildings, cosy nooks and fun-filled squeals.
