At Copenhagen Portside, we have extensive expertise in helping both Danish and international companies create a successful conference in Copenhagen. And one of the things we hear more and more from our guests is a desire for sustainability, also when it comes to a conference.
For the 5th year in a row, Comwell has been named "Denmark's most sustainable hotel chain" in connection with the Sustainable Brand Index Awards. This is an award based on 1200 Danish consumers' attitudes and knowledge of sustainable brands in Denmark. And it's an award we can proudly highlight when sustainability is a focus for businesses and guests.
But it's not what we say that makes a difference - it's what we do! Every day, we consciously work to become a better version of ourselves. We think sustainability across all of Comwell's hotels and conferences, from our energy consumption to textiles, food, and much more. In fact, we want to be the industry's preferred sustainable hotel and conference chain for guests, employees, and partners.
Measures to increase sustainability
Our energy consumption is important when we want to be more sustainable - also in the context of conferences. Over the past six years, our hotels have collectively reduced electricity, water, and heating consumption by more than 20%. Our goal is to reduce consumption by a further 2% per year.
Food is another important theme in sustainability. Fortunately, we have a lot of good stories to tell here too. This includes our strong focus on animal welfare, food waste, and the amount of greens in our food. And our requirements for suppliers and partnerships.

Comwell has simple, favorable, and flexible cancellation terms. Cancellation must always be made in writing to the hotel. Cancellation means total cancellation, reduction, shortening, relocation, and similar significant changes in relation to the confirmation. Please note that for larger meetings and conferences with a total turnover of more than DKK 200,000, special cancellation conditions apply.
