The bunker facility has many stairs and small corridors, and it is therefore not possible to bring walkers and the like into the bunker.

It is only possible to book the stay including a ticket to REGAN Vest the following day on the aforementioned dates.
Please note that a ticket to REGAN Vest is included on the day after arrival. It is not possible to choose the time of your visit to REGAN Vest. Therefore, please note what time the tour of REGAN Vest begins, as this is fixed and cannot be changed.

Check-in at the hotels is possible from 3.00 pm. You can start the afternoon with coffee and cake from 2.30 pm in the hotel bar area.
You can look forward to enjoying a 3-course dinner or buffet created by our chefs. Reception will inform you about the dinner and time when you arrive at the hotel.

About REGAN Vest
In early 2023, Nordjyske Museer opened a new Danish attraction, the Cold War museum REGAN Vest.
The museum offers several different experiences, but the main attraction is the nuclear bunker REGAN Vest, which was secretly built in the 1960s. The bunker is not a military facility, but was built to house the government, officials and the current regent in the event of a nuclear war. From here, the country would be guided through a crisis situation. If REGAN Vest fell, Denmark fell - and with it Danish democracy.
The bunker stands untouched and is still fully furnished with all original interiors intact - from furniture and diesel generators to office supplies and electronic equipment.
The entrance to the bunker is well hidden between the trees in the forest, but in front of it - facing the road - is a yellow brick villa. This is where the chief engineer lived with his family. He oversaw the bunker on a daily basis.
The engineer's house is also part of the new museum. It is decorated as it might have looked in 1980, when a family with a father, mother and two children lived there. Visitors can explore their home and listen to the individual family members talk about their everyday life during the Cold War on screens.
The bunker is well hidden 60 metres below a chalk hill. As part of the visitor experience, visitors can walk along new paths in the nature area above the bunker to get a sense of the size and function of the facility.
In addition to the bunker itself, the engineer's residence and the hiking trails, the new museum consists of a newly built welcome and exhibition building with a café and exhibitions. They tell about the Cold War, the Danish emergency response in crisis situations, the bunker's construction and its time.
