Practical information about your stay at Comwell Copenhagen Portside

Check-in & check-out
Check-in time begins at 3 pm.

Check-out time is no later than 11 am.

Do you want to extend your stay with a later check-out? If later check-out is possible, it can be agreed with reception for a fee of DKK 200,- per hour.

Children under the age of 18 must always be accompanied/live with an adult in connection with stays.

Authorisation
Regardless of how you want to pay for your stay, a reservation for the price of the stay plus an additional DKK 500,- per night will be held as a deposit for the stay. If payment is made via gift card or cash, the amount reserved will be released after check-out. It is recommended to inform the receptionist if the stay has been booked with a debit card, as the amount will not be deducted, but simply reserved by the bank.

Registration card
When you arrive at the hotel, you will be asked to fill in a registration card, sign it, and, if desired, present a valid ID. This is done in accordance with Danish law.

Extra bed in the room
There can be a maximum of one extra bed per room. Extra beds must always be reserved in advance. Children (3-11 years) stay for a fee of DKK 200 per night. If the child (0-2 years) sleeps in the parents’ bed, the child stays free of charge. A cot (0-3 years) costs DKK 150 per night. An extra bed costs DKK 300,- per night. If you are several people travelling together, we can offer rooms with connecting doors, where you can walk freely between the rooms.

Upgrading room types
On arrival, and for a fee, it is possible to upgrade from the booked category to another.

Dogs in the room
It is allowed to bring “quiet” and clean dogs in the room, if this is announced prior to the stay. Additional price DKK 250,- per night and only in the standard rooms.

Cancellation of stays
If your stay does not include dinner, the stay can be freely cancelled before 4 pm on the day of arrival. If the room is cancelled after 4 pm, we will bill you for the first night. 

A prepaid “non-refundable stay” cannot be cancelled. 

A room with dinner can be cancelled free of charge no later than 7 days before arrival. If you cancel between 6 and 2 days prior to arrival, 50% of the price of the stay will be invoiced. If you cancel less than 2 days prior to arrival, the full price of the stay will be invoiced. Stays for nine people or more must be cancelled 30 days in advance.

Disabled-friendly
With a lift to all floors and ten particularly disabled-friendly rooms, our hotel is disabled-friendly for both people with walking difficulties and wheelchair users.

Credit card
You can use all major credit cards at Comwell Copenhagen Portside. Please note that a fee on foreign credit cards.

Comwell reserves the right to pre-authorise your credit/debit card prior to arrival. Comwell.dk will not charge your credit card unless you book a “non-refundable stay”. 

Your credit card is only used as a guarantee for your reservation. 

If you use a debit card for your reservation, your bank will reserve the amount for 30 days. If you wish to have the funds released after the stay, but before the 30 days have passed, you must contact the hotel directly with your reservation number, and the hotel will help you release the funds. Via DIBS, Comwell can notify your bank to release the amount, but only your bank can cancel the reservation of the amount. Debit cards are Visa Electron, Maestro or MasterCard Direct.

Breakfast
Breakfast buffet is served every weekday from 6.30 to 10 am.
Weekends and public holidays from 7 to 11 am.

Allergies
If you have allergies, always notify us in advance – including when it comes to food.

Restaurant
If dinner is included in your stay, please book time for dining on arrival.

Children under the age of 12 are offered portions at half price.

The restaurant is open for a la carte dining:

Monday–Saturday from 11.30 am to midnight (the kitchen closes at 10 pm)

Sunday from 14.00 am to 11 pm (the kitchen closes at 9 pm)

If dinner is not included, it is a good idea to book a table in advance, as it may otherwise be sold out on the day.

Opening hours over Christmas and New Year: The restaurant is closed from 24th to 26th of December and from the 31st of December to the 1st of January.

Bar
The bar/café is open Monday to Thursday 7 am to midnight, Friday and Saturday 7 am to 1 am, Sundays 7 am to 11 pm. 

Our cosy bar has a large selection of beers and cocktails on tap.

It serves a wide selection of bar and café dishes from our bar menu. The kitchen is open from 11.30 am to 10 pm.

In addition to the bar menu, we also offer a selection of snacks, salads, sandwiches and a selection of the sweet, the healthy and the salty throughout the bar’s opening hours – both for eating at the bar and “to go”.

Room service
Available during the kitchen's opening hours and against a room service fee. Due to busyness, there may be times when we are unfortunately unable to accommodate room service orders. 

Remember, however, that you can always order food, drinks and snacks directly in our bar or restaurant.

Fitness Room - "Cardio"

Cardio is located on the 1st floor, to which all guests have 24-hour access. Here, you will find both weights and cardio machines.  

Free Wi-Fi
We offer free wireless internet throughout the hotel. You connect by selecting ‘comwellhotels’ as Wi-Fi and then logging in using the code ‘comwellhotels’. 

Smoking
All smoking, incl. e-cigarettes, is prohibited on the hotel grounds, both outdoors and indoors, and violations of this will result in a fee of DKK 2.500,-.

Laundry and dry-cleaning
Clothes for laundry and/or dry-cleaning handed in before 8.30 am Monday - Saturday will be returned to the room at 6 pm on the same day. Contact reception for questions. 

Charging an electric car
Comwell Copenhagen Portside has five spaces for electric cars, which are free to use. However, the applicable parking fee must be paid. Contact us for more information.  

Booking a stay online
All stays require you to enter a payment card, even if you have a gift card. No payment will be charged when your card details are entered. All stays are settled at the hotel – except non-refundable stays, where the amount is deducted when booking. These stays are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. Please note that if you use a MasterCardDebit or VISA Debit as guarantee, the amount will be reserved in your account and will only be released again after departure, which can take up to 30 days.

Cancellation of stay
If your stay does not include dinner or treatments, you can cancel free of charge before 4 pm the day of arrival.

If your stay includes dinner or treatments, if you wish to cancel you must do so at least seven days before arrival. Cancellation between 2-6 days before arrival is charged at 50% of the price of the reservation. If you cancel less than two days before arrival, the full amount of the stay will be charged.

Gift card
If you have a gift card valid for all Comwell hotels, you can book your stay online and pay with gift card at check-out. Credit cards for online booking are only a guarantee of arrival. 

Gift cards cannot be used to pay for prepaid non-refundable stays. 

Gift cards from Gavefabrikken must always be ordered via the link that comes with the gift card and cannot be used as payment unless the stay is specifically booked through this.

The Organic Food Label
All our hotels have received the Bronze Organic Food Label, which means that 30-60% of all our purchased food and beverages are organic. We believe that the Organic Food Label will enhance the quality and taste experience in our kitchens, for the benefit of our guests.

The ReFood brand
We make an active effort to eliminate food waste and therefore recycle food waste for e.g. biogas and second-generation biodiesel.

Green Key eco-label
All our hotels are Green Key certified, which means that extra efforts are made to protect the environment. At the same time, we strive to be a sustainable hotel that uses local raw materials to the extent possible, rather than importing foreign raw materials.

Comwell Club
You automatically earn 5% of the total amount on your final bill for overnight stays. All earned points can be used as payment during your next overnight stay - although not in connection with conferences and meetings. It is not possible to earn points for stays not booked directly at Comwell or on Comwell.dk. Becoming a member is free and non-binding. Read more at www.comwellclub.dk.

Transport options

Taxi
We collaborate with Dantaxi, which can be reached on tel. (+45) 48 48 48 48. The reception will be happy to assist with booking.

Public transport
The M4 metro line is just a 2-minute walk from the hotel. The station is the terminus, “Orientkaj”.
From Orientkaj to Kgs. Nytorv takes just 10 minutes/to Copenhagen Central Station 15 mins./to Copenhagen Airport 22 mins.

Rental bikes
It is possible to rent bicycles at reception for a fee of DKK 175 per person per day and DKK 90 pr person per half day.

Parking
There are parking facilities in the basement under the hotel from DKK 30,- per hour and a maximum of DKK 180,- per day ex fee. Tickets can be purchased via the app, vending machine or Front Desk.

Only 24-hour tickets can be purchased at the front desk, exclusively for the car park beneath the hotel. The car's registration number must be registered at the front desk upon arrival.

If you leave the parking basement, a space cannot be guaranteed upon return, as it is a publicly accessible parking facility. Comwell does not refund the remaining parking hours, in case the parking garage is full.

If the parking garage is full, we refer you to the parking facility at Orientkaj which is located approx. 100 meters from the hotel entrance.

The hotel does not take responsibility for any parking fine and refer to the applicable parking rules. Kindly follow rules and regulations written on the signs in the parking basement.

Charging of electric cars
There are 5 parking booths for electric cars. When using charging stations, power consumption must be settled directly with Clever, the hotel or Clever do not supply cables.
