Bespoke Walking and Running Routes
Is the freedom to incorporate nature into your daily exercise high on your list of priorities? Then join us on a walking/running route and explore the hotel’s nature surroundings. We’ve created three different digital running routes and added them to the RunGo app, which uses turn-by-turn navigation to show you which route to run, the remaining distance and which roads or paths you should take. Just like a car’s GPS system.
The shorter three-kilometre route is also recommended as a walk-and-talk route for a healthy break during a meeting or seminar. RunGo is free and available for iOS and Android – for both smartphones and Apple Watch.

Sights and Attractions Near the Hotel
Experience one of Denmark’s most important cultural and historical landmarks: the magnificent and impressive Kronborg Castle, whose exterior is a mixture of elegant royal palace and brutal military fortress.
Fredensborg Castle Gardens are among Denmark's largest historic gardens. The garden's original French Baroque style features long, straight avenues that extend from the castle in a star-shaped pattern. Certain avenues were recreated in the 1970s to 1990s as a Danish example of the sumptuous style familiar from Versailles. A stroll through the beautiful gardens will take you past countless fascinating statues and sculptures.
Frederiksborg Castle is beautifully situated on three small islets in the Castle Lake in Hillerød. Magnificent cultural experiences await the whole family within the castle walls, while the picturesque surroundings are ideal for peaceful garden walks and boat trips.
If you are interested in modern art, a visit to Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is a must. World-famous Louisiana is among the most visited museums in Denmark and offers a programme of special exhibitions all year round.
Take the ferry from Helsingør to the Swedish market town of Helsingborg. You’ll find a small city filled with charming alleyways and excellent shopping.
Karen Blixen Museum
Rungstedlund is the birthplace of author Karen Blixen. She lived here throughout her childhood and youth, and it became her home once again when she returned to Denmark after spending 17 years in Africa. Karen Blixen lived at Rungstedlund until her death in 1962, and it was here that she wrote her world-famous tales.
The M/S Maritime Museum of Denmark
The M/S Maritime Museum of Denmark tells the story of Denmark as one of the world’s leading maritime nations in a setting designed by the award-winning architectural studio BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group. Here you’ll find iconic architecture in a former dry dock, and modern exhibitions with a focus on Denmark as one of the world’s leading maritime nations.

NearestIce Cream Bar
Summer and ice cream go hand-in-hand and one of the area’s oldest and most famous ice cream bars is Brostræde Is in Helsingør, where you can sink your teeth into a home-baked waffle cone. However, you need not go any further than the ice cream bar at Snekkersten Harbour or Hansen's Ice Cream bar on Strandvejen to satisfy your craving for ice cream.
Nearest High Street
Helsingør is one of Denmark's oldest market towns. A stroll down its pedestrianised streets with no specific goal in mind, and plenty of time to soak up the atmosphere of the shops and urban scene is a must for those who love shopping or just enjoy the local vibe.
Our “local” forest, Egebæksvang Skov, is situated just 4 km from the hotel. A parking area is located near the forest. Alternatively, you can easily reach the forest after just one stop on the Kystbanen railway line to Espergærde station.
Helsingør and the surrounding area offer a wide range of cultural attractions. Among the most famous are the M/S Maritime Museum, Kronborg Castle, and Louisiana. The area is also home to many other attractions worth visiting.
Nearest Picnic Spot
Our beautiful large garden is an ideal setting for picnics and we highly recommend that you savour a relaxing moment or two among the park’s old and abundant trees. Borrow a blanket and lie down on the grass, relax and enjoy the sounds and smells of summer.
Nearest Golf Course
Over the years, Kokkedal Golf Club has developed into a well-regarded 18-hole golf course. The 6,327 meters from tee 63 offer a genuine challenge for the longest strikers, while the other four tees (59, 55, 49 and 39) offer something for players of all levels. The course is a park course in slightly hilly terrain with varied planting, and it winds around Kokkedal Castle.
