Wedding at the Idyllic Marina in Middelfart

Right by our little idyllic marina, we have built a large wooden terrace where your ceremony and an atmospheric reception can take place - and where your wedding photographer will have the opportunity to really capture some beautiful wedding photos with our magical maritime view. And none of the guests' Instagrammers can resist a trip to the marina - or along the Love Path all the way down to the waterfront!

For your wedding reception or party, we will get the wedding cake from La Nouvelle in Vejle and you are, of course, involved in deciding the cake's delicious contents. For your wedding reception, we will serve the cake with sweet, sparkling wine, coffee and tea.

Expect Gold and Wealth

In case of the unthinkable, rain (!), we have a plan B. The ceremony can take place just as idyllically in our beautiful banquet hall, Kongens Have. And remember, in the case of plan B, rain on the wedding day means that gold and wealth will pour down into the bride's lap.

But First, a Little Wedding Planning

As soon as you have a date for 'I do,' contact us so we can get started on the 'to-do' list. Remember that we are a popular wedding venue, so the earlier, the better.

Afterwards, we invite you to come and see our wedding venue and feel the atmosphere. Fortunately, the bridal couples find it so wonderful. When they are told that almost everything is included in our wedding package, they are sold.

We meet several times over 1-1.5 years, and in the end, we usually say goodbye on a loving note. But much can also be arranged by email.

Wedding Party in the Kitchen

Our kitchen at Comwell Kongebrogaarden is known for its high gastronomic level. The kitchen is predominantly organic, and we prefer to source from skilled local producers. We have the deepest respect for the raw material and know how it tastes when it has just been picked, pinched or pulled out of the ground. And our wedding menus are generous with everything the different seasons offer us. You will meet the head chef or restaurant manager at our meeting, and of course, you are welcome to ask questions!

Comwell Kongebrogaarden has a well-stocked wine cellar with over 600 different wines, including a range of vintage wines from special areas. If you have any special requests for wine, just talk to our restaurant manager about it.

Which Party Venue Should You Choose? And What About Table Settings?

Our party venue, Restaurant Kongebro, has a waterfront view and a large glass window that opens up to the terrace. It's really the bridges and the view that draw attention and captivate!

If you prefer a more intimate wedding, we also have smaller party rooms facing the water. After dinner, we move the party to an adjoining room, usually Kongens Have. And then you can just let loose!

Most people prefer round tables set for 8-10 people at each table, but 'horseshoe,' L-shaped, T-shaped, or long tables are also possible.

Table Decorations and Decor

As a starting point, we set up white tablecloths, napkins, and white candles.

But if you have specific wishes, we will, of course, figure it out. We collaborate with a skilled local florist who knows our beautiful party venues and knows what looks good. And is good at listening to your wishes.

We recommend a toastmaster so that, for example, entertainment can be coordinated. A large screen is available and included in the price.

And Have a Romantic Wedding Party

Our experience tells us that the party always starts very romantically. And ends up as a wild party. So just let loose! And when Niels W. Gade's Bridal Waltz is over, and the party is coming to an end, you can retire to the bridal suite - which is, of course, included in the price. And wake up to the day-after-breakfast party and gift unwrapping with bedhead in a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere with the rest of the party.

The hotel is centrally located for the whole country, close to the motorway to Jutland, Zealand, and the rest of Funen. 2.5 km from Middelfart Station - a taxi ride of about DKK 100.
