Comwell Kellers Park has its own wine park

The Danish-owned hotel chain Comwell's spa and conference hotel, Comwell Kellers Park, which is beautifully located near Vejle Fjord, has been enriched with its own wine park. The vines have been planted and are now allowed to grow and develop. The rootstock is an American Bionova with a grafting of Solaris, Regent, Souvignier Gris and Muscaris. The first harvest of grapes is expected next year.

The hotel's newly planted wine park is located in front of the hotel's restaurant, and Hotel Manager Maria Munkebo is very excited:

‘We are incredibly happy with our new wine park, and we look forward to harvesting the grapes every year from now on. Our guests have a view of the vines directly from the restaurant. So they can simply enjoy the hotel's own wine while walking around the field where it comes from. It's fantastic to be able to offer that,’ says Maria Munkebo.

The hotel's Restaurant Manager and Sommelier Puk Overgaard is also looking forward to serving the local wine to guests:

‘Having our own wine park is a huge asset for us. Danish produced wine is becoming more and more popular, and I look forward to pleasantly surprising guests with a delicious glass - for example, paired with some of the flavourful, plant-rich dishes we serve,’ says Puk Overgaard.

When the harvest is complete next year around early autumn, Comwell will produce the wine in collaboration with Becker Vine. In addition, the field and the wine will be used in connection with the training of Comwell employees. The first team of students has already visited the field.

The hotel chain's guests can expect to enjoy the first glass of wine from the grapes in the field around spring 2026.
