Run the conference as a festival

One for the books!

Looking for an alternative to the traditional conferences and meetings you organize throughout the year? Then you could consider doing something completely different than usual. For example, organize a festival where both customers and colleagues get a lot of shared experiences through music, food and professional events. This is easily possible at Comwell.

"We have large, scenic outdoor areas around many of our hotels and can provide everything from technology and music to stages and street food. And our skilled MeetingDesigners can help you arrange it all. They've done it many times before," says Michael Hansen, Commercial Director at Comwell Hotels.

A festive and professional festival

Comwell is constantly testing different types of meetings and events. Most recently, the hotel chain has created its own festival 'WellComLand - Comwell's friendliest festival', which is now held for both employees and corporate customers.

"You can take inspiration from us at Comwell, because we have organized and held our own festival several times. Twice for employees with no less than 1,000 happy participants. And most recently in August, when we gathered over 250 Comwell customers, guests and partners for our festival, which took place in the green areas right outside the doors of Comwell in Kolding," says Michael Hansen.

This summer's Comwell festival for corporate customers offered a good mix of professional and entertaining features.

Lasse Rimmer, who is currently hosting the TV show Stormester, was the host and made sure to tie the day's events together. Among other things, there was a panel debate on sustainability with four leading voices in the field. As well as a talk with national team coach in men's handball Nikolaj Jacobsen, who shared his experience with leadership and motivation of talents.

"Throughout the day, you could visit various festival stalls, eat delicious food from the food trucks and drink wine, water and cold beer. The latter while guests enjoyed the knowledge of Comwell's waiters and sommeliers. Later, legendary Lis Sørensen and pop idol Hjalmer really got the party started. It was raining that night, but the atmosphere was fantastic," says Michael Hansen.

Try something new that people won't forget

Comwell's commercial director wants to challenge the 'usual' a bit. The hotel chain specializes in hosting meetings and conferences and has over 50 years of experience to draw on. But the meeting room doesn't have to have four walls:

"A festival like the one we held this summer is an excellent example of a physical setting for people to meet. At Comwell, we like to challenge guests' assumptions. And when we do that, they often get more out of their meetings. You talk to each other in a more intimate way. And it's also something you remember," concludes Michael Hansen.

Section coordinator for Djøf's courses and education, Karin Rasmussen, also participated in Comwell's festival WellComLand:

"It was a really well organized event with high caliber entertainment. I think you could make a a smaller model in connection with our annual conference for union representatives. They do a huge amount of work, so they would deserve an evening like that. And we often use Comwell for our many meetings and events, so it would be obvious to discuss the possibilities with them."

Comwell's Co-Work creates life and buzz

At Comwell, Co-Work gives business people on the go a place to land with their laptops for meetings or workaways. It's a great success that also creates life and a nice atmosphere at our hotels.
