Important information about your stay

Check in and check out
Check-in is from 15.00. You must check out by 12.00.

Earlier arrivals or later departures must be booked in advance, against a DKK 200 surcharge per room.

Regardless of when you want to pay for your stay, an authorization will be made to your card, of the price of your stay and an additional DKK 500 per night, as a guarantee for your stay. If you are paying by gift voucher or cash, the authorized amount will be released to your account when you check out. We recommend that you inform the receptionist if your say has been reserved with a debit card, as the reserved amount is not actually withdrawn. It is only blocked by the bank.

Registration card
When you arrive at the hotel you will be asked to complete a registration card, sign it and present valid identification if requested. We are required to do this by Danish law.

Extra bed
A maximum of one extra bed can be made up in each room. Extra beds must always be booked in advance. Children (3-11 years) cost DKK 200 per night. Babies (0-2 years) sleeping in the same bed as their parents stay free of charge. Cots (0-3 years) cost DKK 150 per night. An extra bed costs DKK 300 per night. If there are several of you travelling together we can offer rooms with connecting doors to allow free access between the rooms. We can also offer our “suite” solution, where you can book two or three connected rooms, with the option of having single door to all the rooms.

Upgrading to specific room types
There are options to upgrade from a standard single room to standard double for DKK 200, to a standard corner room for DKK 300, business double DKK 400 or a business corner room for DKK 500.

Dogs in bedrooms
"Quiet" and house-trained dogs are allowed in your room, as long as you inform the hotel prior to your stay that you will be bringing your dog with you. There is a surcharge of DKK 250 per night. Dogs are only permitted in our standard rooms on the third floor.

Cancelling your stay
If your stay does not include dinner, you can cancel at no charge at any time up to 16.00 on your arrival date. If you cancel your room after 16.00 you will be invoiced for the first night. 

Prepaid ”non-refundable stays” are not cancellable. 

Rooms with dinner included can be cancelled free of charge no later than seven days before you are due to arrive. Cancellations between two and six days before you were due to arrive will be charged at 50% of the price of the stay. If you cancel less than two days before your due arrival date, you will be charged the full price of the stay. Stays involving groups of nine or more must be cancelled 30 days in advance.

Great services for the disabled
All floors are accessible by lift. We have nine rooms that cater for the requirements of disabled guests. Our hotel is accessible for those with walking difficulties and wheelchair users.

Credit cards
Comwell Aarhus accepts all popular credit cards. Please note that payment by Danish and foreign credit cards is subject to a surcharge. This surcharge is not applicable to Danish "Dankort" cards. 

Comwell reserves the right to have your credit/debit card pre-authorised in advance of your arrival. will not debit funds from your credit card unless you have booked a non-refundable stay. Your credit card serves as the guarantee for your booking. 

When booking with a debit card, your bank will reserve the amount for 30 days. Should you wish the amount to be made available after your stay and the 30 days period has not yet elapsed, please contact the hotel directly stating your booking number. The hotel will help you to make the funds available once more. Comwell can inform your bank to release the funds via DIBS payment services. Only your bank is able to cancel the reserved amount, however. Debit cards are Visa Electron, Maestro or MasterCard Direct.

Our breakfast buffet is served between 06.30-10.00 on weekdays and 07.00-11.00 on weekends and public holidays.

Grab & Go
We offer a  light "Grab & Go" breakfast for overnight guests with no extra charge. Should you require one of these, they must be ordered from reception before 21.30 the previous evening.

Always give us advance notice if you suffer from any allergies. This also applies to food.

Our reception desk is manned 24-hours and our team is always ready to help you, whatever the problem.

If an evening meal is include in your stay, you will need to book a time you will take your meal when you arrive at the hotel. Children are offered portions at half price. If dinner is not included, it is a good idea to book a table in advance, as there is a risk that the restaurant will be fully-booked on the day.

We serve lunch on weekdays between 12.00-16.00 and dinner every day from 17.00-22.00. 

Our cosy bar has one of Aarhus's biggest selections of organic gins from Scandinavia. 

The bar is open every day between 12:00-00:00.

Room service
We offer free  room service 24 hours a day.

We have partnerships with Business Car Denmark, which is a limousine service that can be reached on tel. (+45) 70 252 005 and Dantaxi, who can be reached on (+45) 70 252 525.

Public transport
Aarhus Rutebilstation (Aarhus Bus Station) is just around the corner, and Aarhus Central railway station is only a few minutes’ walk from the hotel. You can take a bus directly to Aarhus Airport from Aarhus Central Station. The bus journey takes about 50 minutes and tickets must be purchased from the bus driver.

Parking at the hotel is available for a fee. When parking in one of the hotel’s parking spaces, you must inform hotel reception of your car's registration number within 15 minutes of your arrival. Daytime car parking costs DKK 100. The price for a full day is DKK 150. As an alternative, you can also park at Frederiks Plads, for the same price as the hotel's underground car park.

Electric car charging
Comwell Aarhus has four charging stations for electric cars, which are free to use. The applicable parking charge is still  payable, however. Please contact us for further information.

Free Wi-Fi
There is free wireless internet access for all our guests. Connect by selecting the  "comwellhotels" Wi-Fi and log in using the password "comwellhotels". 

Our fitness facilities are on the sixth and seventh floors. They are open to our guests 24 hours. We have weights and cardio workout machines.

Smoking indoors is strictly prohibited. This also applies to E-cigarettes. Smoking is only permitted next to the ashtrays outside the hotel.

Laundry and dry cleaning
Laundry and dry cleaning handed in before 9.00 will be returned to your room by 18.00 the same day. Please contact the reception desk if you have any inquiries.

Booking your stay online
All bookings require that you enter payment card details, even if you have a gift voucher. We do not take your payment when you enter your card details. All stays are paid for at the hotel, with the exception of non-refundable stays for which payment is made when booking. Stays of this type cannot be refunded or transferred to other dates.

Please note that when using MasterCardDebit or VISA Debit as your payment  guarantee, the amount will be reserved to your account and will not be released until after your departure. This can take up to 30 days.

Gift vouchers
If you have a gift voucher redeemable at all Comwell hotels, you can book your stay online and use the gift voucher to pay for your stay when you check out. Credit cards are used for  online booking as a guarantee that the guest will arrive. 

Gift vouchers cannot be used to pay for pre-paid non-refundable stays. 

Gift vouchers from Gavefabrikken must always be ordered using the link that you received with the gift voucher. They may not be used as payment unless the stay was specifically ordered using the link.

The Organic Cuisine Label
All our hotels have the Danish Organic Cuisine Bronze Label, which means that 30-60% of all our food and beverage purchases are organic. We believe that the Organic Cuisine Label will improve the quality and taste experience that our kitchens provide our guests.

The ReFood label
We take active measures to prevent food waste. We therefore make sure that our food waste is recycled as Biogas and second generation biodiesel.

The Green Key label
All our hotels are Green Key certified, which means that we make an extra effort to protect the environment. We also go to great lengths to be a sustainable hotel, which uses local produce wherever possible, instead of importing produce from abroad.

Hotel décor
Our entire hotel is furnished by HAY, so if you fall in love with one of our pieces of furniture, you will be able to purchase it from Hay. Please contact the reception desk if you have any inquiries.

Comwell Club
You automatically earn 5% of the total amount of your final bill for any overnight stay. All points earned can be used as payment for your next overnight stay, with the exception of stays involving conferences and meetings.
