Restaurant Hans Christian (named after the local icon, not the bank director…) has an inviting, modern vibe featuring FDB classics and HAY furniture. In addition, the hotel houses a large banquet hall, perfectly suited for grand celebrations when you’ve invited half the kingdom.

With a little help from our neighbor, the cultural center Odeon just across Sortebrødre square, we can also provide access to Restaurant Schiøtz, named after the visionary Funen beer pioneer. Odeon also features the Grand Hall, accommodating up to 840 party-loving guests.

Nothing can throw us off track! We’ve seen it all—from massive corporate parties with full programs running from dawn to dawn, to smaller, intimate gatherings where the magic lies in the atmosphere, great food, and wine.

Often, companies start with a full-day meeting that includes one or more activities. You can check into your rooms during the lunch break and get ready for the evening’s festivities while we prepare the setup. It’s not uncommon to see corporate parties stretch over two exciting days, featuring activities like wine or beer tasting, teambuilding organized by event companies, and a grand party to wrap it all up. Here everything is possible!

We set the stage and decorate for your corporate party

We prepare the tables with white linen tablecloths and napkins, along with candlelight. If you’d like flowers on the tables, we can recommend a skilled local florist who knows our event spaces and what looks best in the setting.

Of course, you’re welcome to decorate your event space yourselves. Alternatively, we’d be happy to handle it for you for an additional fee. We can also assist with professional lighting technicians and other experts with a flair for finesse. For larger, more elaborate themed parties, we confidently leave the details to experienced event agencies we collaborate with.

We can also help book bands or DJs for your event.

Party in the kitchen

Our kitchen is mainly organic, and we prioritize sourcing seasonal ingredients as locally as possible. We get our organic meat from Grambogaard on Funen and fresh fish from Strandby.

The wines are selected to complement your menu, based on our sommelier's expertise and your preferences for grape varieties and brands. Our wine list also includes several organic and biodynamic options. If you have specific wine requests, just let us know!

An absolute must-see and highlight on your agenda is the brand-new H.C. Andersen House – a magnificent museum that brings H.C. Andersen’s world to life. The architecture, designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, is a stroke of genius in itself. Spanning 12,600 m² (two-thirds of which is underground), it doesn’t just tell the story of H.C. Andersen – it is H.C. Andersen!

Our cultural center, Odeon, has “stood the test” of hosting all kinds of events, both on stage and behind the scenes.
