General info about your stay

Check in and check out
Guests can check in from 14:00.

Guests must check out by 11:00 at the latest.

Do you want to extend your stay by checking in two hours earlier or checking out two hours later than the applicable times? If so, this can be booked prior to your stay for a fee of DKK 200.

Children under 18 years of age must always be accompanied by an adult in conjunction with their stay.

Regardless of when you want to pay for your stay, an authorisation will be made to your card, of the price of your stay and an additional DKK 500 per night, as a guarantee for your stay. If you are paying by gift voucher or cash, the authorised amount will be released when you check out. We recommend that you inform the receptionist if your stay has been reserved with a debit card, as the reserved amount is not actually withdrawn. It is only blocked by the bank.

Registration card
When you arrive at the hotel you will be asked to complete a registration card, sign it and present valid identification if requested. We are required to do this by Danish law.

Extra bed
Children (3-11 years) ½ price of adults.

Cots for babies 0-2 years cost DKK 150 per night.

Extra beds and cots for babies must be booked in advance.

If you are a group of 3-4 adults who would like to share a room, we can provide special rooms with this capacity. Please contact us to hear more.

Dogs in bedrooms
You are permitted to bring a ‘quiet’ and house-trained dog to some rooms. This must be booked in advance. Additional cost DKK 250 per night. Please note, dogs must not be left alone in the room

Cancelling your stay
If your stay does not include dinner, you can cancel at no charge at any time up to 16.00 on your arrival date. If you cancel your room after 16.00 you will be invoiced for the first night.

Prepaid 'non-refundable stays' are not cancellable. 

Rooms with dinner included can be cancelled free of charge no later than seven days before you are due to arrive. Cancellations between two and six days before you were due to arrive will be charged at 50% of the price of the stay. If you cancel less than two days before your due arrival date, you will be charged the full price of the stay. Stays involving groups of nine or more must be cancelled 30 days in advance.

Access for guests with difficulty walking
Some rooms are more suitable than others if you have difficulty walking or use a wheelchair. Please contact us before your reservation if this is the case. 

Credit cards
At Comwell H.C. Andersen Odense, you can use all normal credit cards. Please note there is a fee on foreign credit cards. 

Comwell reserves the right to have your credit/debit card pre-authorised in advance of your arrival. will not debit funds from your credit card unless you have booked a non-refundable stay. 

Your credit card serves as the guarantee for your booking. 

When booking with a debit card, your bank will reserve the amount for 30 days. Should you wish the amount to be made available after your stay and the 30 days period has not yet elapsed, please contact the hotel directly stating your booking number. The hotel will help you to make the funds available once more. Comwell can inform your bank to release the funds via DIBS payment services. Only your bank is able to cancel the reserved amount, however. Debit cards are Visa Electron, Maestro or MasterCard Direct.

Breakfast is served Monday-Friday 06:30-10:00.  Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 07:30-11:00.

If you need to leave early, we can arrange a breakfast bag for you, which will be served in the reception area at the time you request. This must be ordered the evening before by 20:30 at the latest.

The restaurant is open Monday-Saturday 6-9 pm. Table reservation is recommended. Please note that à la carte tables for dinner are subject to availability.

The menus that are included in the hotel stay, are fixed and vary daily. The menus cannot be moved to other days. We are happy to adapt the menu for allergy sufferers, vegetarians and suchlike if notified in advance.

Closing days
Our restaurant is closed on Sundays, and between Christmas and New Years. Some exceptions may occur, please contact the reception via telephone (+ 45) 6614 7800 if you have any questions.  

Our bar/café stocks a wide range of spirits, craft beers, soft drinks and coffee.

Always give us advance notice if you suffer from any allergies. This also applies to food.

Our reception desk is manned 24-hours and our team is always ready to help you, whatever the problem.

Public transport
The nearest station is Odense Station, which is located 1 km from the hotel. Trains depart to/from Copenhagen and Jutland twice an  hour

Parking in connection with your stay, i available at the car park "Q-Park Comwell H.C. Andersen", which is next to the hotel. We have 90 parking spaces available. It is not possible to reserve in advance. 

The price is DKK 45,- per started hour, max DKK 150,- per day. 

If you choose to use our car park, your number plate will be registered when entering and exiting via camera, and payment must only be made before exiting via the set-up machine. Please note that you exit and pay for your parking, upon each exit. 

If there are no more spaces in our car park, we refer you to Odense's public parking garage nearby (please note that different parking rules and payment conditions apply here).

Electric cars
If you need to charge your car, we have 4 chargers available in our own parking area. The price is the ordinary parking fee plus the price for power, delivered by Clever (via app). Remember to bring your own cables. 

Free Wi-Fi
Free wireless internet access is available to all our guests. Get connected by selecting  the Wi-Fi network 'Comwellhotels'. No code is required.

We have treadmill, bicycles and a small selection of weights. 

Smoking indoors is strictly prohibited. This also applies to E-cigarettes. Smoking is only permitted next to the ashtrays outside the hotel.

Booking your stay online
All bookings require that you enter payment card details, even if you have a gift voucher. We do not take your payment when you enter your card details. All stays are paid for at the hotel, with the exception of non-refundable stays for which payment is made when booking. Stays of this type cannot be refunded or transferred to other dates. Please note that when using MasterCardDebit or VISA Debit as your payment guarantee, the amount will be reserved to your account and will not be released until after your departure. This can take up to 30 days.

Gift vouchers
If you have a gift voucher redeemable at all Comwell hotels, you can book your stay online and use the gift voucher to pay for your stay when you check out. Credit cards are used for online booking as a guarantee that the guest will arrive. 

Gift vouchers cannot be used to pay for pre-paid non-refundable stays. 

Gift vouchers from Gavefabrikken must always be ordered using the link that you received with the gift voucher. They may not be used as payment unless the stay was specifically ordered using the link.

The Green Key label
All our hotels are Green Key certified, which means that we make an extra effort to protect the environment. We also go to great lengths to be a sustainable hotel, which uses local produce wherever possible, instead of importing produce from abroad.

Comwell Club
You automatically earn 5% of the total amount of your final bill for any overnight stay. All points earned can be used as payment for your next overnight stay, with the exception of stays involving conferences and meetings.
