Customized walking and running routes
Is the freedom to incorporate nature into your daily exercise high on your list of priorities? Then join us on a walking/running route and explore the hotel’s natural surroundings. We’ve created three different digital running routes and added them to the RunGo app, which uses turn-by-turn navigation to show you which route to run, the remaining distance, and which roads or paths you should take. Just like a car’s GPS.
The shorter three-kilometer route is also recommended as a walk-and-talk route for a healthy break during a meeting or seminar. RunGo is free and available for iOS and Android smartphones and Apple Watch.
Renting bicycles
The best way to experience Aarhus is by pedaling around. Not only can you explore the city center and its many shopping options, but you can also take a ride to the harbor bath or the forest. You can rent a bike by contacting the reception.

A total of four restaurants with Michelin stars place Aarhus in the gastronomic world-class, and the city's many creative gourmet chefs truly understand how to enchant both food and drink, giving you a culinary experience that pleases both palate and soul. Nature Experiences Near the Hotel
Nearest beach
If you're up for a refreshing dip, we recommend the lovely harbor bath "Bassin 7", located only 800 meters from the hotel. Here you can relax and enjoy the waterfront in the middle of Aarhus, or take a stroll along the promenade. If you prefer sand between your toes, you should visit the beach "Den Permanente" - a renovated old bathhouse, only 3 km from the hotel.
Nearest ice cream shop
Summer and ice cream go hand in hand, and luckily, Aarhus has several ice cream shops and stands to choose from. But not all ice cream is created equal. So here's a personal recommendation from our hotel manager, Flemming: his favorite family-owned ice cream shop is Mammis Gelato, located at Rosengade 34 - just a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The ice cream is homemade, and the assortment varies from day to day.
Nearest shopping street
On Vestergade and Volden, in the inner city of Aarhus, you can enjoy a stroll filled with small shops, and good coffee bars with outdoor seating, and feel the pulse of the city. (And yes, it's the same Vestergade that Gnags sang about in the 80s). The shopping street is only a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
Nearest green area
Just around the corner from the hotel (400 m) you'll find Skanseparken. A beautiful little green oasis, inviting you to sit down for a while and enjoy the surroundings, either from one of the park's many benches or from a picnic blanket on the grass. If, on the other hand, you prefer the peace of the forest, Marselisborg Forest is worth a visit. The forest is 2 km from the hotel. You can borrow one of our 10 bikes and enjoy a bike ride in the beautiful nature.

Aarhus is full of attractions and cultural experiences. Among the most well-known are 'Den Gamle By' and AROS. But a more local tip for an attraction is Kunsthal Aarhus, located only about 800 meters from the hotel. Here you can experience a modern exhibition space with contemporary art.
Nearest picnic spot
If you're up for a picnic, we recommend Mindeparken at the foot of Queen Margrethe's summer residence, Marselisborg Palace. A perfect spot for a picnic or a brisk walk in the gardens and among the cultural-historical elements. The park is 2 km from the hotel.
Nearest golf course
There are several golf courses in and around Aarhus. We recommend Aarhus Golf Club and Lyngbygaard Golf. Aarhus Golf Club is located in a scenic area close to Moesgaard Museum. The area is gently hilly and there is a beautiful view of Aarhus Bay. Lyngbygaard Golf is a golf course in the European top class. The golf course is developed with respect to nature and the environment and has received great recognition for its sporting challenges and attractive facilities.
