Tailored walking and running routes
Do you enjoy using nature for your daily exercise? Then join us on a tour of the hotel's surrounding area. We have tailored three different digital running routes and uploaded them to the RunGo app, which shows you the route and tells you how far you have left, and which roads or paths to use - just like a GPS in a car.

The short distance of 3 km is also recommended for "walk and talk," a healthy break during a meeting or seminar. RunGo is free and can be used for iOS and Android - both on mobile and on Apple Watch.

Various board games
Board games are more popular than ever, and everyone can join in. We have a selection of different board games that you are welcome to borrow. Just ask at the reception.

Bridge walking
Bridge walking takes place at a height of 60 meters and offers a view over the Little Belt. You can go to Sydney or the Little Belt. In both places, you can walk on top of a bridge. Experience the height, the sensation in your stomach, and the spectacular and unobstructed view. Enjoy the water, the ships, the view towards the land, the wind, and the weather. Whale watching and other boat trips on the Little Belt
The Little Belt is one of the most whale-rich waters in the world. You can experience one of the world's smallest whales, "the porpoise," up close as well as seeing seals, birdlife, and occasionally eagles. We sail to get as many experiences and stories as possible.

Psychiatric Collection
The Psychiatric Collection is located in one of the former patient buildings at Middelfart Mental Hospital, which was in operation from 1888 to 1999. The exhibition tells about everyday life and conditions for both patients and staff and provides insight into the treatment of mental illness in Denmark in the 19th and 20th centuries.

H.C. Andersen House
H.C. Andersen House in Odense is the main museum for the fairy tale writer and author H.C. Andersen. This new H.C. Andersen House opened in 2021 as the largest new attraction in Odense in many years. The museum was designed by the famous Japanese architect Kengo Kuma and consists of both indoor and outdoor spaces, which together stretch over 12600 m2 (2/3 of the museum is located underground).

Take your family and enjoy some fantastic experiences at Odense ZOO - get close to giraffes, lions, and penguins in one of Europe's best zoological gardens.

Legoland is one of Denmark's most well-known and beloved amusement parks among families with children of all ages. There's plenty of action, speed, and fun for the whole family.

Egeskov Castle
Egeskov Castle is one of Northern Europe's best-preserved Renaissance castles, built as two longhouses rising directly from the lake. Feel the flutter of history when you visit the beautiful 466-year-old castle. You can both go inside and see the castle, wander in the beautiful gardens, and visit the veteran museum, and Falck Museum.

CLAY Ceramic Museum Denmark
CLAY Ceramic Museum Denmark in Middelfart is the largest special museum for ceramic art in the Nordic countries. The museum offers an exciting encounter with ceramic art and crafts throughout history. Here you'll find both a permanent exhibition and special exhibitions.

Nearest Beach
Dip your feet in the fresh water at the lovely sandy beach at Vejlby Fed, which is one of Funen's best beaches and has been awarded the Blue Flag. The water is shallow, making the beach very child-friendly. Those who wish to swim in slightly deeper water can use the long pier. Vejlby Fed Beach is also a great place to surf and is only 7 km from the hotel.

Nearest Ice Cream Shop
Ice cream is a must-have in the summer. The ice cream kiosk on Strandvejen is the closest to Comwell Middelfart. However, we recommend heading towards the old Little Belt Bridge (4 km from the hotel), where you have a large selection with 3 ice cream shops on Brovejen, all offering delicious ice cream and waffles.

Nearest Shopping Street
If you enjoy a stroll with shops around you, Middelfart's city center is worth a visit. The pedestrian street, which is 3 km from the hotel, runs parallel to Middelfart's Old Harbor and the entire Havnegade. The pedestrian street and the city have many specialty shops with everything for him and her, handicrafts, hardware stores, food, and much more.

The pedestrian street, which also has restaurants and cafes, is centrally located, so within a few steps, you have a view of both Little Belt Bridges and the harbor front with plenty of activities to experience right in front of you.

Nearest Forest
The beautiful Staurby forest is only 1 km from the hotel. It is the perfect place for a walk or a bike ride. The forest is ideal for outdoor activities - here, an asphalt bike and running path has been established, followed by a parallel horse riding path and a 5.6 km long mountain bike trail. When you walk through the forest, you can also walk along the water with a view of the Little Belt.

Nearest Attractions
You will find a wealth of attractions in Middelfart. The best known are Bridgewalking and the Ceramic Museum Clay. The area offers many other worthwhile attractions, such as whale watching and Hindsgavl Deer Park.

For Children
Just 10 km from the hotel is Madsby Legepark. The play park is a free outdoor playground with animal enclosures, a playground, a Tarzan rope course, and a puppet theater. The Historical Mini Town, which is a true replica of the town of Fredericia in 1849, recreated on a 1:10 scale, is also worth a visit.

Nearest Picnic Spot
Slow down and enjoy a picnic in the beautiful Danish nature that surrounds Comwell Middelfart. We are happy to prepare food for you to take with you. So, borrow a few blankets and head out into the Danish countryside. There are plenty of picnic destinations near the hotel, including Staurby Forest, by the water's edge overlooking the Little Belt, and Strib North Beach.

Nearest Golf Course
Just a few minutes drive from the hotel, you will find the Lillebælt Golf Club. Their course is undoubtedly Denmark's best-located golf course, with a beautiful view over the Little Belt, and with a course that offers challenges for both the seasoned and novice golfer.
